Lighthouse XR is bringing clinical extension through innovation

We’re creating innovative, cost effective, and evidence based programs to extend clinical resources for recovery through the use of XR technologies.

By supporting our therapists, counselors, and peer support specialists with XR programs, we can provide them with supplemental therapy beyond their in-person work and allow the patient to continue their recovery journey 24/7.

TST-VR at The Retreat is Lighthouse XR’s Flagship XR Program

Program development began in April 2020. Over the past 3 years, the content has been refined through multiple iterations using human centered design principles to reach it’s current 10 session version to support the treatment for Substance Use Disorder for Veterans.

The program has been developed in collaboration with the Veteran’s Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem Innovator’s Network, Virginia Commonwealth University, and with the guidance of Dr. Jarrod Reisweber.

In an 18 month feasibility study (started December 2021), an overwhelming majority of patients said they would recommend the VR activities in TST-VR to others working towards recovery, and providers rated TST-VR highly for improving the quality of their patient’s therapy.
